Amega Awadzi , Corridors of Aborlove Nolopi.
Our Brother who is Hon. Edem Agbana continues to demonstrate a rare blend of dynamism, accessibility, and responsibility in the discharge of his duties as the Member of Parliament for Ketu South. Though very young and serving his first term in Parliament, he has shown an exceptional ability to quickly adapt to parliamentary procedures, debates, and Standing Orders, an achievement that is often difficult, if not nearly impossible, for many first-time MPs. His confidence, composure, and command of parliamentary business speak volumes about his preparation and commitment to service.
What makes Hon. Edem Agbana particularly outstanding is his understanding of the evolving dynamics and demands of today’s generation. Governance has changed, leadership has changed, and the expectations of the people, especially the youth have also changed. A leader must be present, must listen, must feel the pulse of the people, and must understand their real needs and aspirations. On this score, I can confidently say that Hon. Edem Agbana is doing exactly that, and doing it well, without bias and without taking unnecessary sides.
He is almost everywhere he is needed. Whether it is in Parliament, within the constituency, or at community-based engagements, his presence is consistently felt. He treats people equally, relates with humility, and supports initiatives whenever resources are available to him. His approach to leadership reflects fairness, inclusiveness, and genuine concern for the well-being of his constituents.
In terms of contributions across key sectors like entertainment, education, health, and social development; Hon. Edem Agbana has performed remarkably well. Despite the limitations that often confront MPs, especially new ones, he has managed to make meaningful impact. One cannot help but imagine how much more he would achieve if he were given the same level of resources and opportunities available to others. There is no doubt that he would do even more for his people.
A clear example of his people-centered leadership was witnessed yesterday at Afife, where musicians were invited purely to entertain his constituents. The atmosphere was electric; the entire area was blazing with excitement to the extent that the joy and energy spread as far as Aborlove Nolopi a neighboring community in a different constituency that nonetheless shares borders with Ketu South, that level of impact speaks for itself.
Even more remarkable was the fact that Hon. Edem Agbana stayed throughout the entire program until it came to an end. This is something quite rare and almost unheard of for a sitting Member of Parliament, yet he did it without hesitation. That simple act alone speaks volumes about his respect for the people and his commitment to being present, not just in name but in action.
I wish to use this opportunity to sincerely thank you, Hon. Edem Agbana, for such an inspiring and refreshing initiative, and to pray that more of such engagements will happen in the coming year. These moments matter. They bring people together, inspire the youth, and strengthen the bond between leadership and the people.
Finally, I would like to draw attention to a young and very talented musician who performed exceptionally well at the event. He stood out among many and truly impressed the crowd. This gifted young man hails from Aborlove Nolopi, and he is known as Boneless. You can personally attest to his performance, and we pray that more opportunities like this will be created to showcase and nurture such talents.
Once again, thank you, Hon. Edem Agbana, for your dedication, humility, and service. May you continue to grow in strength, wisdom, and impact for the benefit of Ketu South and beyond.
